At the heart of the system is the KERN CFS 3K-5 reference scale, which can also be used as a stand-alone unit. This professional scale is designed to meet the highest accuracy standards and is easy to program using its numeric keypad. Operators can enter required reference quantities, known reference weights, or set target values for weight or piece counts. The system displays total weight, reference weight, and total number of pieces across three separate screens for maximum clarity. In addition, up to 100 items can be stored in memory (PLU) with details such as reference weight, tare weight, and additional text.
The CCS 600K-2U also includes a fill-to-target function. Once the programmed target is reached, it gives an audible and visual signal. During use, the automatic optimisation of the reference weight improves accuracy by refining the average piece weight as counting progresses. A protective cover for the display device is included with delivery.
The heavy-duty side of the system is provided by the KERN KFU-V20 quantity scale, a U-shaped weighing bridge that allows fast and accurate counting of large batches. The design makes it easy to place pallets, trolleys, or large containers directly on the scale. It is built with a lacquered steel frame and equipped with four silicone-coated alloy steel load cells, which are IP67 protected against dust and splashes.
The CCS 600K-2U offers a maximum weighing capacity of 600 kg on the quantity scale. The reference scale provides a fine readability of 10 mg, with reproducibility of 0.00002 kg and linearity of 100 mg. The quantity scale has a linearity of 0.4 kg.
