The OBN 148 is a fluorescence microscope from the OBN-14 series. It combines a stable build with high quality optics, making it a strong choice for fluorescence microscopy in this class.
The microscope is equipped with a 20 W halogen lamp from Philips for transmitted light and a 100 W HBO epi fluorescence unit for incident light. Together they provide bright and powerful illumination for fluorescence samples. The professional Koehler system includes a height adjustable 1.25 Abbe condenser with centring and an adjustable aperture diaphragm, as well as an adjustable field diaphragm for precise light control.
The large mechanical stage moves smoothly and is easy to control with coaxial coarse and fine knobs on both sides, allowing quick and accurate focusing. A filter wheel with up to 6 positions is fitted as standard and includes B, G, UV, and V fluorescence filters.
The modular design allows easy expansion with accessories such as eyepieces, objectives, colour filters, darkfield condensers, a butterfly tube, polarising units, and phase contrast units.
The OBN 148 is supplied with a free OBB-A1515 camera adapter. This C-mount 0.5x adapter with adjustable focus lets you connect a microscope camera to the trinocular tube for image capture and documentation. Delivery also includes a centring objective for fluorescence adjustment, dust cover, eye cups, and multilingual instructions.
