KERN OCM 168
The OCM 168 is an inverted fluorescence microscope designed with a stable build and a large working distance. This makes it especially useful for watching and analysing cell cultures.
The microscope uses a 5 W LED for bright field illumination. For fluorescence work, it includes an Osram 5 W LED unit that gives strong and clear light for stimulating fluorescence samples. The Abbe condenser with 0.3 aperture and 72 mm working distance helps direct the light well and makes handling samples in culture vessels simple.
A trinocular eyepiece tube is fitted as standard. The stage has a 110 mm specimen holder and lets you move samples smoothly. Brackets for petri dishes are included and more holders are available as accessories. Other accessories, such as eyepieces, objectives, specimen holders, and phase contrast units, can also be added.
The microscope is delivered with a free OBB-A1515 camera adapter. This C-mount 0.5x adapter with adjustable focus allows a microscope camera to be connected for image capture and documentation. A dust cover, eye cups, and user instructions are also included.
