KERN Leeb Hardness Tester - HMO - Range 170 - 960 - Readability 1 (Hlx) - Tolerance 1% - Units: HL, HV, HB, HRB, HRC, MPa
KERN HMO
The HMO is a mobile hardness tester designed for users who need accurate and flexible hardness measurements directly on-site. Unlike stationary testing machines, this portable device gives you the freedom to test components in production lines, workshops, or quality control environments without moving the sample. Its robust design and touchscreen interface make it both modern and easy to operate.
The working principle of the HMO is based on the rebound method (Leeb principle). An impact body strikes the test surface, and the hardness value is derived from the rebound velocity. The device automatically recognizes the connected impact sensor and allows measurements in all directions (360°). This makes it possible to test even complex components in difficult positions without losing accuracy.
The LCD touchscreen with touch pen provides a clear display of all test data. Measurement results are automatically converted into different hardness units, including Rockwell, Vickers, Brinell, and Leeb, as well as tensile strength. The mini statistics function gives quick insight into the average, maximum, and minimum values, helping you evaluate results efficiently.
A built-in memory stores up to 500 measurement values with date and time, ensuring full traceability. The USB interface enables quick data transfer to a printer or PC and also serves as a charging port. A hardness test block is included for calibration, making it easy to ensure precise results right from the start.
The HMO is supplied in a robust carrying case, making it ideal for mobile applications in industries such as mechanical engineering, automotive, metal processing, and quality assurance. With its versatility, high mobility, and automatic unit conversion, the KERN HMO is a practical solution for reliable hardness testing in demanding environments.
