The OKM 173 is a metallurgical reflected light microscope designed for surface quality testing of raw materials and finished products. It delivers clear and high-contrast images with its strong 5 W LED illumination, which is continuously dimmable for flexible lighting control.
The illumination unit includes an integrated 5-slot filter wheel with blue, green, yellow, grey, and blank filters. This makes it easy to switch contrast and adapt the view for different samples. A large mechanical stage for reflected light applications is supplied as standard, along with coarse and fine focusing knobs on both sides for smooth and precise adjustment.
A simple polarising unit (analyser and polariser) is also included, adding further flexibility for examining coatings and reflective surfaces. For digital work, the microscope is delivered with a free OBB-A1515 camera adapter, a C-mount 0.5x adapter with adjustable focus, making it easy to connect a microscope camera.
Delivery also includes a dust cover, eye cups, and multilingual instructions.
