KERN OBN 158
The OBN 158 is a phase contrast microscope designed for demanding laboratory applications. It combines a quintuple nosepiece, a PH universal rotary condenser, and Infinity Plan phase contrast objectives, making it well suited for precise analysis of low contrast and translucent samples.
Illumination is provided by a powerful 20 W halogen light (Philips) with transmitted light, offering bright and stable imaging. The microscope is equipped with Koehler illumination, an adjustable field diaphragm, and a centreable 1.25 Abbe condenser with adjustable aperture diaphragm for precise light control.
A large mechanical stage with coaxial coarse and fine focus on both sides ensures smooth, accurate sample adjustment. The fine drive offers a minimum adjustment step of 0.002 mm, allowing reliable work even with very thin or delicate specimens.
The modular design of the OBN series allows for a wide range of accessories, including swing-out condensers, additional objectives, colour filters, darkfield and polarising units, Butterfly Tubes, and fluorescence attachments. This flexibility makes the OBN 158 suitable for both routine diagnostics and specialised research.
